Simulation function

NovaOne HPD can simulate the cold/hot chamber casting process of most die casting materials. NovaOne HPD mainly has a built-in material library with aluminum alloy and zinc alloy, and other metal types can also be purchased separately. Equipped with the main molds and neutron materials on the market, other materials can also be purchased separately.

Controlled Volume Method (CVM)

By controlling the volume method [CVM] or the technology called the finite volume method, the surface of the 3D model can be controlled for the appearance of the mesh elements located at the boundary of the casting. The inside of the casting can be made of cubic elements and the boundary of the casting can be in the state of boundary elements, and faster and more accurate analysis results can be ensured.

 

Technical advantages

Compared with the finite difference method FDM/finite element method FEM, the controlled volume method CVM has the following advantages:

  • 10 times faster than the finite difference method FDM program.
  • With a more perfect 3D model description, all blocks are of the correct size to achieve more accurate analysis results. The model description of CVM can fully conform to all the characteristic dimensions of the original 3D appearance.
  • Only a smaller number of units are required to define the geometric shape of the casting, which can achieve faster analysis speed and lower result file size.
  • A fully automatic grid processing program that only takes a few seconds.

Hard Disk Recommendations: 256GB solid-state main hard disk is used as the storage space during simulation execution, and 4TB general HDD is used as result storage.

  • High CPU clock has the effect of increasing the speed more than the number of cores.
